Home / Alpaca and Llama / Complete Feed / Evans Alpaca Maintenance
Evans Alpaca Maintenance is a quality blend of pellets, crimped oats, flaked corn, and extruded nuggets lightly wrapped in molasses and vegetable oil. Evans Alpaca Maintenance provides a balance of protein, energy and fiber to mature alpacas with excellent acceptance and palatability.
Evans Camelid Supplements are formulated to complement grass hay and pasture that tests 10% to 14% protein and 55% to 60% TDN with a potassium level of less than 2.5%.
Blend of Quality Grains, Pellets and Oil — The blend of pellets, corn, oats, and vegetable oil provides energy to the alpaca at different rates for controlled energy release while the coarse texture increases salivation and aids in maintaining healthy digestion.
Extruded Nuggets — The high-quality extruded form maximizes feed and nutrient digestibility and utilization while slowing the rate of feed intake, thus helping to minimize digestive upsets and choking.
High-Fiber Level —A combination of quality fiber sources including soy hulls, alfalfa and rice bran in an extruded form provides highly digestible and fermentable fibers to help maintain a healthy digestive environment.
Chelated Trace Minerals — Optimum levels and ratios are supplied to ensure a balanced diet for maintenance and performance. The more biologically available chelated forms are added to help minimize the detrimental effects of mineral imbalances in water and forages.
Vitamin E and Selenium — A high level of Vitamin E and Selenium is added to help guard against deficiencies and maintain optimal health and metabolism.
B-Complex Vitamins (including Biotin, Niacin, and Thiamin) — B vitamins are involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fat and protein and are important for the growth and health of skin, wool and hooves.
Yeast Culture — A high level of yeast culture is added to help promote a functional microbial fermentation, sustaining nutrient digestibility and utilization with fewer digestive problems.

Feed Evans Alpaca Maintenance at a rate of 0.50 lb per 100 lbs. of bodyweight/head/day or approximately 0.75 lb per average 150 pound Alpaca per day.
Males and geldings usually require 20-25% less supplement than females. This is equal to feeding 0.65 - 0.75 lb/head/day.
For periods of extreme cold, using Evans Camelid S/G/L is recommended.
The suggested feeding program above is intended solely as a guide. The variables of management, environment, and breed may dictate changes in the animals’ requirements.
This feed contains supplemental copper - do not feed to sheep.
