Inoculants

Kent silage inoculants for haylage, corn silage, and small gain silages are research-proven and field-tested. The silage inoculants are available as water-soluble inoculant or dry treatment inoculant. Specific mixing and recommended application rate of each inoculant per ton of silage is on each product label.

Silage Supreme™ 3X-50

A water-soluble forage inoculant. It is a stabilized microbial aid for fermentation of silage. It is packaged in 125-gram foil packets to be mixed with water to treat 50 tons of silage or haylage.

Directions for Use
10 gallon low volume applicator tank: Mix entire contents of 125 gram packet with 2 quarts of clean cold or cool chlorine-free water and apply at 1.28 ounces per ton of silage.

50 gallon spray applicator tank: Mix entire contents of 125 gram packet per 12.5 gallons of clean cold or cool chlorine-free water and apply at 1 quart per ton of silage.

100 gallon spray applicator tank: Mix entire contents of 125 gram packet per 12.5 gallons of clean cold or cool chlorine-free water and apply at 1 quart per ton of silage.

  • Cut and wilt forage during favorable weather conditions.
  • Use moisture meter when possible.
  • Chop to optimum length (1/4 – 3/8 inch cut) for lower moisture silages, a finer chop is needed to ensure better packing.
  • Add Silage Supreme 3X-50 uniformly at proper usage levels.
  • Ensile the forage as quickly as possible.
  • Pack well and seal or cover securely.
  • Harvest forage or grain at ideal maturity and at proper moisture levels:
    • Corn and Sorghum Silage: 55 – 70%
    • Small Grain Silage: 55 – 70%
    • Haylage: 55 – 70%

A water soluble forage inoculant. It is a stabilized microbial aid for fermentation of silage. It is packaged in 500 gram foil packet to be mixed with water to treat 200 tons of silage or haylage.

Directions for Use
10 gallon low volume applicator tank: Mix entire contents of 500 gram packet with 2 gallons of clean cold or cool chlorine-free water and apply at 1.28 ounces per ton of silage.

50 gallon spray applicator tank: Mix entire contents of 500 gram packet with 50 gallons of clean cold or cool chlorine-free water and apply at 1 quart per ton of silage.

100 gallon spray applicator tank: Mix entire contents of 500 gram packet per 50 gallons of clean cold or cool chlorine-free water and apply at 1 quart per ton of silage.

Silage Supreme™ 3X-DC

A stabilized microbial aid to fermentation of silage.

Directions for Use
  • Cut and wilt forage during favorable weather conditions.
  • Harvest forage or grain at ideal maturity and at proper moisture levels:
    • Corn and Sorghum Silage 55 – 70%
    • Haylage and Small Grain Silage 55 – 70%
    • Always use a moisture meter if possible.
  • Chop to optimum length (3/8 inch cut). For lower moisture silage, a finer chop is needed to insure better packing.
  • Add product uniformly with a properly designed applicator at the rate of 0.1 lb or 45.4 grams per ton of silage.
  • Ensile the forage as quickly as possible.
  • Pack well and seal or cover securely.

Directions for Use
  • Cut silage during favorable weather conditions.
  • Harvest forage at ideal maturity and proper moisture levels of corn and sorghum silage at 55 – 70% and small grain silage 55 – 70%.
  • Use a moisture meter when possible.
  • Chop to optimum length (3/8 – 3/4 inch cut). For lower moisture silage, a finer chop is needed to ensure better packing.
  • Add Kent Silage Supreme 3X Prop-dry uniformly at proper usage levels.
  • Ensile the silage as quickly as possible.
  • Pack well and seal or cover securely.
