Safe-Guard® Cattle Mineral

For the removal and control of: lungworm: (Dictyocaulus viviparus), stomach worms: barberpole worm (Haemonchus contortus), brown stomach worm (Ostertagia ostertagi), small stomach worm (Trichostrongylus axei), intestinal worms: hookworm (Bunostomum phlebotomum), thread-necked intestinal worm (Nematodirus helvetianus), small intestinal worms (Cooperia punctata & C. oncophora), bankrupt worm: Trichostrongylus colubriformis), nodular worm: (Oesophagostomum radiatum).

Feeding Directions
Feed to cattle for 3-6 days. The amount of this medicated mineral given to a group of cattle is based on 1.91 oz. total consumption per 100 lbs. body weight to deliver a dosage of 2.27 mg. of fenbendazole per pound of body weight. The cattle must be allowed access to this medicated mineral for sufficient time to receive this total dose. Under conditions of continued exposure to parasites, retreatment may be needed after 4-6 weeks. There are no known contraindications to the use of the drug in cattle.

Cattle & Horse Safe-Guard® 1000

A wormer product in pellet form for the control of a broad spectrum of internal parasites in all stages of growth and production of beef and dairy cattle. This includes non-lactating, lactating cattle and all life stages of horses.

Feeding Directions
Cattle:
When top-dressed or mixed in the ration for one day at the rate of 1 pound per 1000 pounds of body weight, this product will provide the proper dosage of fenbendazole of 5 mg/kg (2.27 mg per pound of body weight).

Horses:
The recommended dose is 2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound (5 mg per/kg) body weight in a (1) ONE DAY treatment for large strongyles, small strongyles and pin worms. For ascarids the recommended dose is 4.54 mg fenbendazole per pound (10 mg/kg) body weight in a (1) ONE DAY treatment. Feed at a rate of 0.1 or 0.2 pounds per 100 pounds body weight to provide 2.27 or 4.54 mg fenbendazole per pound body weight. All horses must be eating normally to ensure each animal consumes an adequate amount of medicated feed. Re-treat in 6 to 8 weeks if required.

Warning: Feed the top-dressed or mixed ration as the sole ration to cattle for one day. Do not use within 13 days of slaughter of cattle. Do not use in horses intended for food.
