Dairy Beef

Feeding dairy beef steers for market is an excellent way to increase the gross income of an operation with minimum labor. However, for a dairy beef feeding program to be successful, it is essential that steers be fed properly balanced rations that promote rapid and efficient growth.

Because of the dairy steers’ higher maintenance energy requirement, high energy, no roughage diets provide the greatest opportunity for maximum performance and profitability. Kent’s Dairy Beef supplements provide high levels of vitamins, minerals and proteins that are limited in corn-based diets.

Advantage of Feeding Whole Shelled Corn with Kent Supplements:

  • Provides some scratch factor to help maintain rumen health.
  • Less fines which can lead to digestive issues (bloat).
  • Less incidence of acidosis as a result of safer digestion.
  • Studies have shown whole shelled corn is digested and utilized efficiently.
