Every horse is different, so the best nutrition can vary depending on many physiological factors. In general, I believe the best nutrition for an older horse is a highly digestible, easily chewed feed, like Sentinel’s extruded feeds, which contain low starch and sugar levels, moderate to high levels of fat, high levels of built-in fermentable fiber and additives to support gut health.
