Formulated for superior palatability to promote intake and rumen development. Calf Hi-Pro BT Flakes is a molasses-coated blend of steam flaked and whole grains and a specifically formulated protein pellet. This complete calf starter mix will encourage early consumption and provide unique energy and carbohydrate sources to enhance muscle development, growth, and weight gain.
Blue Seal Calf Hi-Pro BT Flakes is designed specifically to be fed to calve in accordance with the following directions for use:
May be fed continuously at the rate of 1 mg of lasalocid per 2.2 pounds (1 kg) body weight per day to cattle weighing up to 800 pounds (360 kg) with a maximum of 360 mg of lasalocid per head per day.
To be fed in conjunction with milk or milk replacer and fresh water daily. Calves should be consuming at lest 1.5 lbs/day at weaning. Do not feed calves forages before waning. Once weaned, high quality dry forages can be introduced. At 3-4 months of age, calves can be gradually transitioned to Kent Nutrition Group's Equity line of heifer pellets.
The suggested feeding program above is intended solely as a guide. The variable of management, environment, and breed may dictate changes in the animal's dietary requirements.
A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating cattle. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.
Do not feed to sheep due to their copper sensitivity.
The safety of Lasalocid for use in unapproved species has not been established. Do not allow horses or other equines access to feed containing Lasalocid as ingestion may be fatal. Mix thoroughly with grain and/or roughage prior to feeding. Feeding undiluted or mixing errors may result in an excess Lasalocid concentration that could be fatal to cattle and sheep.
