Milk Formula 1™ is a premium-quality all-milk protein milk replacer with strong calf acceptance and superior mixing ability that is meticulously formulated to meet the nutritional needs of newborn calves.

  • 20% protein and 20% fat content - Protein from all-milk proteins and high-quality fat help support a healthy start for the calf as it transitions to dry feeds in a timely manner.
  • BioEnVigor8™ - A combination of powerful nutritional components and processes designed to deliver optimal calf growth and performance.
  • NutriVantage® Nutrition Optimizer® - Helps support the immune system, improve weight gains and intakes, and reduce the impact of stress in calves.
  • KwikMix™ process for easy mixing - The fully agglomerated formula with encapsulated and refined powder particles allows for fast, uniform mixing in water and will stay in suspension longer. It also allows for mixing at a lower temperature, 110 degrees F, compared to non-agglomerated products, 130-140 degrees F.
  • βetaMOS® - A proprietary, rich source of yeast cell wall nutrients containing β-glucans that have been shown to support animal immune systems and mannan oligosaccharides, which can help inhibit pathogens from colonizing the intestinal tract.
  • Fortified with required minerals and trace minerals - Formulated to provide high levels of vitamins A, D and E, NASEM-recommended levels of B vitamins and required minerals and trace minerals from highly available sources including organic selenium to help maximize calf nutrition.

Birth - Feed 3-4 quarts of colostrum immediately after birth (need to provide 150 g of IgG). Feed 2-3 additional quarts within 12 hours of birth. Always use the highest quality colostrum available. If necessary, use an esophageal feeder. Don’t let the calf determine intake.

2 Days Old Until Weaning - Feed MILK FORMULA 1™ until weaning. For small breed calves feed 2 to 2.5 quarts of reliquefied MILK FORMULA 1™ twice-a-day. For large breed calves feed 2.5 to 3 quarts of reliquefied MILK FORMULA 1™ twice-a-day. Continue to feed MILK FORMULA 1™ as long as you would normally feed whole milk.

Cold Weather Feeding Instructions - Add an extra feeding using a non-medicated milk replacer solution or switch to MILK FORMULA 1™ WINTERIZER during periods of cold stress.

General Management Considerations

1. The suggested feeding program is intended solely as a guide. The variables of management, environment, and breed may dictate changes in the animals’ requirements.

2. Provide clean, fresh water at all times.

3. Start feeding Kent® Calf Starter when calves are 4 days old. Start with a small amount (0.5 lb) and gradually increase as the calf’s consumption increases. Provide a fresh amount each day to stimulate consumption.

4. Wean calves when consuming at least 2 lb of Kent® calf starter per day for 3 consecutive days.

Mixing Directions

Mix 12 ounces (0.75 lb) of milk replacer plus 2.5 quarts of warm (110°F) water. Add powder to water and mix vigorously. Use of cooler water requires greater mixing action and increases the possibility of the powder settling out. Feed immediately.
