Many pet food companies promote their products as chicken or meat sources at significant levels. Such protein sources may be 75 percent water or more. So, when moisture is lost during the pet food production process, the level of actual meat remaining is substantially less.
For Native performance dog food, chicken or lamb meal is the preferred protein source and contains less than 10% water – meaning the level of actual meat remains high and is truthfully the first ingredient on the label after processing.
Chicken Meal, Brewers Rice, Ground Barley, Chicken Fat (Mixed Tocopherols Preservative), Brown Rice, Ground Flaxseed, Rice Bran (stabilized), Plain Dried Beet Pulp, Dried Egg, Natural Flavor, Brewer’s Liquid Yeast, Yeast Culture, Monocalcium Phosphate, Fish Meal, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Yeast Extract, Choline Chloride, Vitamin E Supplement, DL-Methionine, Biotin, L-Lysine, Reed-Sedge Peat, Zinc Sulfate, Taurine, Selenium Yeast, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (source of Vitamin C), Zinc Proteinate, Manganese Sulfate, Managanese Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Ferrous Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Niacin Supplement, Calcium d-Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Sodium Selenite, Riboflavin Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Rosemary Extract, Calcium Iodate, Folic Acid, Mixed Tocopherols & Citric Acid (preservatives).
