Precision® Formula Premium is a premium quality milk replacer with strong calf acceptance and ideal blending characteristics containing a combination of proteins and additives that support best-cost growth in calves, including those raised under stressful conditions.
Feed 3-4 quarts of colostrum immediately after birth (need to provide 100 g of IgG). Feed 2-4 additional quarts within 12 hours of birth and feed 2-4 more quarts at 24 hours of age. Always use the highest quality colostrum available. If necessary, use an esophageal feeder. Don’t let the calf determine intake.
Feed PRECISION® FORMULA PREMIUM until weaning. For small breed calves feed 1½ to 2 quarts of reliquefied PRECISION® FORMULA PREMIUM twice-a-day. For large breed calves feed 2 to 2½ quarts of reliquefied PRECISION FORMULA PREMIUM twice-a-day. Continue to feed PRECISION® FORMULA PREMIUM as long as you would normally feed whole milk.
Add 1-2 oz per feeding of Milk Energizer pack to increase the total energy level of the milk replacer during periods of cold stress.
1. The suggested feeding program is intended solely as a guide. The variables of management, environment, and breed may dictate changes in the animals’ requirements.
2. Provide clean, fresh water at all times.
3. Start feeding Kent® Calf Starter when calves are 4 days old. Start with a small amount (0.5 lb) and gradually increase as the calf’s consumption increases. Provide a fresh amount each day to stimulate consumption.
4. Wean calves when consuming at least 2 lb of Kent® calf starter per day for 3 consecutive days.
Mix 12 ounces (0.75 lb) of PRECISION® FORMULA PREMIUM milk replacer plus 2.5 quarts of warm (110°F) water. Add powder to water and mix vigorously. Use of cooler water requires greater mixing action and increases the possibility of the powder settling out. Feed immediately.
