SweetFLAKES 18 DQ45 is a molasses-coated blend of steam flaked corn and soybeans along with whole oats and a specifically formulated protein pellet. This complete calf starter mix will encourage early consumption and provide unique energy and carbohydrate sources to enhance muscle development, growth, and weight gain.

Heat Processed Corn, Heat Processed Soybeans, Soybean Meal, Oats, Molasses Products, Linseed Meal, Calcium Carbonate, Processed Grain By-Products, Salt, Vegetable Oil, Monocalcium Phosphate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Reed-Sedge Peat, Dried Cheese Product, Dried Whey, Calcium Iodate, Copper Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Cobalt Carbonate, Selenium Yeast, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Propionic, Sorbic, Acetic, & Benzoic Acid (preservatives), Natural and Artificial Flavors.
1. Feed 3 - 4 quarts of colostrum immediately after birth (need to provide 100 g of IgG). Feed 2 - 4 additional quarts within 12 hours of birth and feed 2 - 4 more quarts at 24 hours of age. If necessary, use an esophageal feeder.
2. Feed Kent milk replacers until 6 weeks of age or when calves have consumed 2 lb of starter/day for 3 consecutive days, whichever comes last. Mix and feed according to the directions on milk replacer tags.
3. Start feeding Kent SweetFLAKES when calves are 3 days old. Place a fresh supply before calves each day. Calves should consume at 1 lb per 100 lb of bodyweight to provide 22.7 mg of decoquinate per 100 lb of body weight. Feed for at least 28 days during periods of coccidiosis exposure or when experience indicates it is likely to be a hazard.
4. After calves are 2 to 3 month of age, the may be fed Kent growing rations. Consult your Kent Nutrition Group dairy representative for detailed feeding directions.
Do not feed to cows producing milk for food.
Do not use in feeds containing bentonite.
