EnergiLass Cattle Mineral 5 + Availa®4 is a mineral and vitamin supplement designed to be fed to beef calves and cattle consuming high quality pasture, hay or forage. This product provides a full 7 grams of Availa®4 when consumed at suggested rates.
- High energy - Molasses and added fat results in a very high level of sugar and energy. This high sugar level and the licking action needed for consumption increase saliva production. This, in turn, may improve the rumen environment which would improve forage digestion.
- Highly palatable - The high level of molasses solids and fat make for a highly palatable product. The licking action along with saliva produced softens the top 1/4 inch of the block allowing limited consumption. When this thin layer is consumed the animals must wait for the next layer of the block to soften before they can consume additional product.
- Availa®4 - Availa®4 amino acid trace mineral complexes offer trace mineral supplementation in a form that is highly bioavailable to the animal and are research proven to improve reproductive performance in cattle.
- Calcium and phosphorus - A 2 to 1 calcium to phosphorus ratio is ideal for cattle on pasture, which tend to be deficient in phosphorus. Phosphorus also plays a significant role in reproductive efficiency.
- Trace minerals and vitamins - Formulated to provide trace minerals and vitamins to help support optimal animal health and performance.
- Available with AFC™ - AFC™ (Altosid®) prevents the emergence of adult horn flies from the manure of treated cattle. This option should be fed throughout the fly season to help keep cattle comfortable and grazing. Availability varies by plant.
