Mineral supplementation on summer pastures is a must. While green, growing forage can provide a good portion of what cattle need, there are nutritional gaps. The trace mineral profile of the forage is only as good as the soil, and even then it’s not always stored in the plant in a form that cattle can utilized. Additionally, the majority of pastures are deficient in phosphorus, a key nutrient in metabolism, bone integrity and maintaining pregnancy. EnergiLass Performance Cattle Mineral 5 Availa®4 AFC covers these nutritional gaps and provides an extra nutritional boost from the inclusion of Availa®4.
This low moisture block is formulated to provide 7 g of Availa®4 when consumed at 4 oz. Availa®4 is research proven to positively impact reproductive performance in beef cattle. Consumption should average 4 oz per head daily. The amount consumed will vary depending on the quality, type and quantity of feedstuffs available.
- Availa®4 - Availa®4 amino acid trace mineral complexes offer trace mineral supplementation in a form that is highly bioavailable to the animal and are research proven to improve reproductive performance in cattle.
- Calcium and phosphorus - A 2 to 1 calcium to phosphorus ratio is ideal for cattle on pasture, which tend to be deficient in phosphorus.
- Consistent Intake - The unique manufacturing process results in a product that cattle must lick in order to consume. This results in consistent, predictable intake that helps to manage costs per head per day.
- Optimal trace mineral fortification - Formulated to exceed NRC recommendations for trace minerals, helps overcome antagonists and support optimal animal health and performance.
- Optimal vitamin fortification - Vitamins A, D and E support growth, metabolism, reproductive performance and proper immune system function.
- No Added Salt - EnergiLass is formulated without added salt. A source of free-choice salt should be made available at all times, such as Framework 365 Mineral ADE.
- AFC™ for horn fly control - AFC™ (Altosid®) prevents the emergence of adult horn flies from the manure of treated cattle. This product should be fed throughout the fly season to help keep cattle comfortable and grazing.
- Highly palatable - The high molasses content of EnergiLass results in a highly palatable supplement, encouraging and maintaining whole herd consumption.
