Product Description

EnergiLass Refresher 20-1 is a protein, mineral and vitamin supplement designed to be feed to dairy cows during the dry period with low calcium forages until two weeks prior to freshening.

Features & Benefits

High energy

Molasses and added fat results in a very high level of sugar and energy. This high sugar level and the licking action needed for consumption increase saliva production. This, in turn, may improve the rumen environment which could improve forage digestion.

Highly palatable

The high level of molasses solids and fat make for a highly palatable product. The licking action along with saliva produced softens the top 1/4 inch of the block allowing limited consumption. When this thin layer is consumed the animals must wait for the next layer of the block to soften before they can consume additional product.

Continuous protein delivery

As pastures mature, forage quality can decline. Supplementing with protein allows the rumen to better digest mature forages.

Magnesium

Supplemental magnesium helps to meet the nutritional needs of the cow and fetus and can reduce the instance of hypomagnesemia at calving.

Trace minerals and vitamins

Formulated to provide trace minerals and vitamins to help support optimal animal health and performance.

Trace mineral amino acid complexes

Trace mineral amino acid complexes are more bioavailable compared to inorganic trace minerals. Research as shown they improve reproductive performance in cattle.

Selenium yeast

A source of selenium yeast that is easily metabolized, supports reproductive health and performance.

Feeding Directions

Feed Kent EnergiLass Refresher 20-1 to dairy cows during the dry period with low calcium forages until two week prior to freshening. Place barrel(s) in a dry location near the animal's source of water, salt, mineral, or loafing area. Consumption will vary depending on animal size; stage of production; quality, source, and availability of roughage and/or grains; number of animals per barrel and barrel location. Offer one 250-lb barrel for every 20-30 head. Cattle typically consume between 0.25 and 1 pound per head daily.

DAILY INTAKE VALUES ARE APPROXIMATE. To increase consumption, decrease the number of animals per barrel. To reduce consumption, increase the number of animals per barrel, or place barrels away from the normal loafing area. Provide clean, fresh water at all times. Offer a source of free-choice salt.
