ADULT FEEDING GUIDELINES
During periods of increased activity or when consumption increases, multiple smaller meals per day are recommended.
For late pregnancy or nursing dogs, keep food available at all times. After whelping, nursing females require 2-3 times normal adult maintenance intake.
PUPPY FEEDING GUIDELINES
For puppies, begin weaning at 3-4 weeks of age by offering Hi-Protein 27 moistened with warm water. Feed as much as they will eat, three times per day until fully weaned. Slowly reduce added water over several days until you are feeding dry. Once fed dry, for most puppies, Hi-Protein 27 Dog Food can be made available at all times.
These feeding guidelines are a starting point. Adjust feeding amounts to your dog’s individual requirements to achieve optimal condition and weight. Highly active working or performance dogs may require 25% - 100% more food than for an adult maintenance feeding./p>
When introducing a new dog food, mix increasing amounts of Hi-Protein 27 with decreasing amounts of the previous food over a seven-day period.
Provide fresh, clean water at all times.
