Decoquinate 0.00496% (45 g/ton)
  1. Feed 3-4 quarts of colostrum immediately after birth (need to provide 100 g of IgG). Feed 2-4 additional quarts within 12 hours of birth and feed 2-4 more quarts at 24 hours of age. If necessary, use an esophageal feeder.
  2. Mix and feed Kent Velocity MF milk replacer according to directions on the tag. Discontinue the feeding of Kent Velocity MF after 6 weeks or when calves are consuming 2 pounds of starter per day for 3 consecutive days, whichever comes last. Feed Velocity 22 Pellet until 12 weeks of age with no hay fed separately.
  3. Start feeding Kent Velocity 22 Pellet DQ45 Medicated when calves are 3 days old. Place a fresh supply before calves each day. Calves should consume at least 1.0 lb per 100 lb of body weight to provide 22.7 mg of Decoquinate per 100 lb of body weight. Feed at least 28 days during periods of coccidiosis or when it is likely to be a hazard. Coccidiostats are not indicated for use in adult animals due to continuous previous exposure.
  4. From 12 to 23 weeks of age, feed free choice 18% Grower made with Kent Velocty Mixer 42 or Velocity Grower 18, along with 2-3 pounds good quality hay.

Warning

Do not feed to cows producing milk for food.

Caution

Do not use in feeds containing bentonite.
