Woodpecker Mix should be fed in a feeder designed specifically for accommodating woodpeckers that cling rather than perch when feeding. Position the feeder no farther than 20 feet away from shrubs and/or trees where birds may take shelter should they be startled. Selecting the right feeder location will help in attracting these birds.
