Q&A with Kevin Allman, Territory Sales Manager May 3, 2021 October 15, 2021 At Kent, we are passionate about the beef industry. The desire for a better beef feed is what started the company in 1927 and continues to drive our efforts today. A big part of the driving force behind our innovations is the passion our team has for the beef industry. To learn more about what fuels our teams’ passion, we asked some of them a few questions. KEVIN ALLMAN – Northwest Iowa Q: How long have you had cattle and/or been part of the beef industry? A: I have been involved in the beef industry pretty much all of my life. Ever since I was a little kid my family has had cattle – either a cow/calf operation or feeding out cattle. Q: What is the most enjoyable part of being in the beef industry? A: Two things: first – calving season – there is nothing better than being part of the birth of a calf and seeing it get up and take its first steps. Second – working with producers to fine tune their nutrition program for their operation to become as profitable as possible and help offer management and husbandry suggestions. Q: What Kent product(s) do you feel have made a difference for you or your customers? A: ARRIVALmax Energy is probably the #1 product that if possible I wouldn’t start a calf without it. Q: What is your favorite cut of beef? A: There is nothing better than a medium rare grilled ribeye steak.
