Rules and Eligibility

Awards earned in the current year may qualify. Applications received after December 15 of the current year will not be considered.
Applications must be received by December 15.
Must be a 4-H or FFA member.
Only the highest award will be issued per animal, per year.
Only one (1) award will be presented per applicant.
Jackpot, Prospect or Open Show winners are not eligible for awards.
Rate of Gain, Carcass, Showmanship, or Pen group winners are not eligible for awards.
Kent Show Feeds, Kent, and/or Blue Seal feed(s) must be the only feed fed. Animals must be fed the recommended amounts through project completion.
A high-quality backdrop color photograph must be provided.
For applicants 14 and older, a signed “Consent, Release & Grant of Rights” must be received within 30 days of online application submission.
Proof of feed purchases and/or award received may be required.

Overall Grand Champion

Animal was selected as the overall Grand Champion of the Show and competed against all breed winners to receive this honor.

Overall Reserve Grand Champion

Animal was selected as the overall Reserve Grand Champion of the Show and competed against all breeds to receive this honor.

Breed/Division Grand Champion

Animal was selected as the Breed/Division Grand Champion of the particular breed they were exhibiting in. NOTE: This is the highest honor at various shows when an overall Grand Champion is not selected.

Breed/Division Reserve Grand Champion

Animal was selected as the Breed/Division Reserve Grand Champion of the particular breed they were exhibiting in. Only awarded for select state and national shows. NOTE: This is the second highest honor at various shows when an overall Reserve Grand Champion is not selected.
