- Nutritional requirements of goats vary depending on life stage, activity, breed, physiological status (growth, pregnancy, lactation), and environment. Adjust as necessary. Be sure to read the complete feed tag attached to the bag for specific feeding recommendations and product nutrient information.
- Feed by weight, not by volume.
- Make feed changes gradually.
- Feed at regular intervals.
- Goats are browsers; provide access to roughage and/or pasture or hay.
- Monitor feed intake and overall body condition to maintain a healthy weight.
- Provide fresh, clean water at all times.
- Clean feed and water buckets regularly.
- Provide clean, safe shelter and secure fencing for your goats.
- Trim hooves regularly.
- Follow a regular deworming and vaccination program.
